Here is what other people have to say....

Axel de Maupeou moved to New Zealand from France in 2006 with his wife (a Skilled Migrant) and their three children. All the family members spoke English, but they still found that there were many differences between life in New Zealand and France.

Through Settlement Support, the family received support and resources that helped them adjust to life in Palmerston North – from support and information on buying their house, to help finding employment for Axel, and more.

Axel now works as facilitator for the Migrant into Work Project here in Palmerston North, where he helps newcomers to New Zealand connect with employment opportunities.

“Settling in New Zealand wasn’t easy,” says Axel. “I had to know about local habits, the kiwi accent, and step down to get a first NZ work experience. Now I am working in a great place and I am willing to help people to go through this passing phase as smoothly as possible.”Become a Success Story
